Cookie policy

The short version
- We only use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary: to sign you in, keep you signed in, and remember a choice you made.
- No analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, and nothing from other companies.
- The law (the UK's PECR and the EU's ePrivacy rules) doesn't require consent for strictly necessary cookies, so there's no cookie banner. This page tells you what each one does instead.
A cookie is a small file a website keeps in your browser. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar places in your browser that a page can use. Both are covered here. Cookies marked HttpOnly can't be read by scripts on the page, and all our cookies are only sent over encrypted connections.

Nossic DNS, Chat, eSign and Projects
Each app uses the same pair: a session cookie while you're signed in, and a short-lived one during sign-in.

The Nossic Chat bubble on other websites
Businesses can put the Nossic Chat bubble on their own websites. It doesn't set cookies. When you open the chat or write, it keeps a random identifier in your browser so the conversation carries on where you left off, for example on the next page.

Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the ones above, you won't be able to sign in. Signing out ends your session cookies straight away.
If we ever want to use a cookie that isn't strictly necessary, we'll ask first and you'll be able to say no.
